The stretch of the Rideau Canal in Ottawa is the most famous part of the Rideau Canal system, especially in the winter when it becomes the world's largest skating rink.

You can zoom it or out using the controls on the map. Note that we do not update the map every day, so please check with the national capital commission for the latest conditions.

  • Monday to Wednesday 3p.m. to 10 p.m.
  • Thursday Noon to 10 p.m.
  • Friday Noon to 11 p.m.
  • Saturday and Sunday 10 a.m. to 11 p.m.

  • Sleigh Rentals $15 for two hours and a $50 deposit.
